Indian Institute of Materials Management (IIMM) Pune Branch organized a One Day seminar on ” Impact of GST on SCM & Logistics ” on Saturday, 4th February 2017 at Auto Cluster Development & Research Institute, Chinchwad. IIMM celebrated recently their Golden Jubilee of existence in Pune, in the cause of professional development to SCM fraternity.

This program commenced with the Welcome address by Hon. Branch Chairman of IIMM, Pune, Mr. K. R. Nair and attracted about 100 delegates of middle and senior management from various industries in and around Pune.

The inaugural address by Chief Guest, Mr. Rajesh Pandey, Commissioner of Central Excise, Pune was highly informative and explained in greatest depth the need for preparedness by trade and Industry. Mr. O. C. Bhangdiya, Additional Commissioner for Sates tax, Pune Zone, the Guest of Honour for this seminar, explained vividly the impact of GST on Supply Chain.

Presentation by these Govt. Officials’ who are also Master Trainers in GST provoked an intensive Question & Answer session that was never seen before.

Learned Speakers from leading corporate like Kirloskar Oil Engines Limited, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu India Pvt. Limited, Mahindra Logistics Limited, Expert SCM Professionals, Tax Consultants, shared their expertise on GST, the issues to be tackled and preparedness for implementation with examples.

This participative seminar revealed Government has not only designed the GST excellently but is also well prepared on implementation, as compared to the trade and Industry who need to do a lot of work in their organizations.

Mr. Narahari Wagh, the program convener thanked the expert Faculties and practicing Supply Chain professionals, who shared their live experiences and made this seminar a grand success.
